"Didn't quite live up to what I expected"
I ended up paying a bit more than I was planning to, so I was expecting something that felt a little more premium. It does the job, but for the price, I thought it would be better. It’s not terrible, just not really worth what I paid in my opinion.

"Shipping was way slower than expected"
I ordered from motorcityreman.com and the shipping took forever. It ended up taking much longer than I thought it would, and I barely got any updates along the way. it was frustrating, and it didn’t exactly make me feel like customer service would be much help if I reached out. If you need something quickly, I’d probably look somewhere else.

"Honestly, the reman work was disappointing"
I feel kind of embarrassed to admit I trusted these parts, but they really looked like they were rushed. They didn’t hold up for me, and I ended up regretting the whole thing quickly.

The warranty claim was okay overall, but the timing was frustrating. It took longer than I was hoping, and of course it dragged on right when I really needed it sorted out. To be fair, they did respond and eventually got everything handled, but the delay made the whole thing more annoying than it needed to be.

I ordered a reman alternator using the part number listed on their site, but the one that showed up didn’t fit my car at all. The plug was different and the mounting holes didn’t line up, so there was really no way to make it work.
To be fair, mistakes can happen, but it was frustrating that customer service took a while to respond and I had to send photos to prove the issue. I needed the car fixed quickly, so the whole thing was inconvenient. Based on the accuracy problem, I probably wouldn’t order from them again.

"Engine runs, but I’m not impressed"
I got the engine installed and it does run, but it hasn’t performed the way I was hoping. It feels sluggish and not nearly as smooth as I expected, and I’ve had to keep tweaking things after the install just to get it to act right. It’s not a total disaster, but I’m definitely disappointed. If this is the kind of performance I can expect, I’ll probably look somewhere else next time...

I sent my core back and I’m still waiting on the refund. I’ve emailed about it, but it sorta feels like I’m just getting the same runaround each time. The part itself was fine, but the whole core charge refund process has been a mess. i probably wouldn’t have ordered if I knew it was going to be this annoying

"First impression wasn’t great"
My first impression wasn’t the best, and it didn’t really improve much from there. It wasn’t terrible, but I was expecting things to run a lot smoother. The updates came slowly, and the whole experience felt a bit disorganized. I’d probably look at other options before choosing this again.

I bought this thinking it would hold up for a while, but unfortunately it stopped working after about a year. I didn’t use it in any unusual way, so I was disappointed when it failed so soon.

"Felt like I kept getting passed around"
I tried getting in touch with them about my order, but it was a pain. Emails took days to get a response, and when I called, I either couldn’t get through or got someone saying they’d look into it.

I’m not expecting someone to reply instantly, but I did expect a straight answer or at least a real update. Instead, it felt like I kept getting passed around and had to keep chasing them myself.

Maybe other people have had a smoother experience, but for me the customer service was really frustrating. I wouldn’t order from them again.

"Sales staff wasn’t very helpful"
I stopped in expecting at least a little guidance, but the sales staff seemed clueless. I had to figure most of it out myself, which was disappointing.

I don’t know, something about this company just didn’t sit right with me. The stuff on the site felt kind of unclear, and that made me hesitant. I wouldn’t really feel comfortable ordering from them based on that. Just my honest take.

"Inventory info could be more accurate"
I went on Motor City Reman looking for a part that appeared to be available, but after checking, it turned out it wasn’t actually in stock. The website itself was easy to use, so I’ll give them credit for that, but it doesn’t really feel fair to customers when the inventory shows something as available and then it isn’t. I ended up having to wait and search somewhere else, which was frustrating since I was trying to get the repair done quickly.

I was frustrated with how hard it was to get basic updates. I kept asking what was going on, but replies were slow and didn’t really answer my questions. It felt like a simple request was being ignored, and most of the time nobody seemed to have a clear answer...

"Checkout Felt Off"
I tried placing an order on motorcityreman.com, but the checkout process ended up being way more frustrating than I expected. The pages were loading slowly, and I had to re-enter my information more than once, which got old fast.
Once I got to the shipping and payment part, things didn’t feel very clear. I couldn’t really tell what was happening or whether everything was being applied correctly, and my instinct was telling me not to rush into hitting the final order button.

The parts themselves might be totally fine, but I never got far enough to find out because I gave up before completing the purchase. Overall, the checkout experience just didn’t give me enough confidence to continue.

"Cheap part, not worth it"
The part felt like it was cheaply rebuilt, and it start having problems quick after I put it on. I was hoping it would hold up better, but it didn’t. I wouldn’t buy from them again.

I ordered the part from motorcityreman and, from what I remember, the part itself seemed okay. The install directions were the rough part. The paper they included didn’t quite match my setup, or at least not the way mine was laid out, so I ended up digging around online to figure out a couple steps. Support did get back to me, and maybe I’m forgetting some of the back and forth, but it still took longer than I expected. If you already know what you’re doing, it’s probably not a big deal. For me, it was frustrating
